Frame by Frame, for the interlocking math-rock riff.

Out of all the great KC albums, this is the one you chose? Oh well, Frame By Frame is OK, I guess.

Frame By Frame, more emotion, more of a song. Thela Hun Ginjeet reminds me more of the Talking Heads than Crimson, Frame By Frame has some definitive Crimson sounds.

A rather close call, but Frame by Frame is the best of these two.

The latter is a more complete track with its adventurous interludes and all.

Frame by frame.

Always loved the vocals and Fripps manic intricate plucking.. I also like the way the song seems to confuse people I play it to. I think the timing messes with their head..
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

I never understood what 'Thela Hun Ginjeet' meant until I read that Fripp didn't like the title 'Heat In The Jungle' and made Belew change it.

^Really? I think its album (sterile, distant, mechanical), along with Beat, mildly blew. The song itself is a little off-putting with its gimics and repetition. Three of a Perfect (one that even confounded Bruford) is my favorite of the trifecta. More to sink your teeth into. Thank God the supporting Discipline tour date in San Diego (actually La Jolla) was wonderful, although Tony Levin did in Red with his heavy-handedness.

Color text is fun, isn't it?  I voted Thela Hun Ginjeet for it's insanity and intensity.  It is also meta - a song within a song within a song.  Pretty dangerous, eh?  This is a song Talking Heads could only dream of actually doing.  Frame by Frame is also a great song, and one that defines the discipline version of Crimson.  The one that probably moves me most emotionally from the album is Mate Kundasai, simply beautiful.  One of my favorite Crim albums.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

Both, I think. Talking heads influence, for sure. But it works also the other way.
