Yup! My dad's parents are Dutch (though he was born in Canada). Also I think my grandpa opa changed his surname to Verheggen from something similar so I might not be related to any Verheggens you know.
ah cool, yeah I was vaguely aware of many Dutchmen moving to Canada for a certain period back then, I believe I even have some older relatives living somewhere in the plains there
I don't know any Verheggens but it's an obviously Dutch name, or maybe a bit more Belgian...
Do people in your family speak Dutch??
My dad's older siblings know some Dutch because his family moved to Holland for a year or two every time they had a kid. My dad is the youngest so he didn't pick up the language. My aunts also have a bit more free time (and money) so they're pretty fluent in Dutch. I'm fluent in understanding Dutch accents though!
tell them: jullie neefje is een goeie jongen, maar hij mag de taal van zijn voorouders wel eens leren kennen!
LOL

DUUUUUDE it's freaking CRUSHING. AlsoI'llprobablylistentoitagainrightbeforeIgotosleep. Also also that one bass note that plays throughout is beautiful and I love how it's used by itself at the very end and I love that you used the noodling around parts of the recordings. Embarrassed

I've heard reports that G.L.O.S.S. have disbanded today, that's a shame. Unhappy

Yeah. I'm a very casual fan but I had mad respect for them. Their break up letter makes it sound like they'd rather be in smaller local bands.

I am Leper Snake if it's not taken on Bandcamp and I'm going to try to write a song over the next few days.

So far I have:
(B string)--------------------------------------------------------------------
(E string)0000----0000----0000----0000----0000----0000----0000----0000----0000
(A string)----5-75----5-75----5-75----5-75----5-75----5-75----5-75----5-75----
(D string)-----6-------6-------6-------6-------6-------6-------6-------6------
(G string)--------------------------------------------------------------------

My amp is farting out the open strings because I'm playing them fingerstyle but the riff sounds neat because I'm popping the strings with my thumb. Probably just going to have to live with the farty tone though. Wacko
