(hey there, almost forgot about this post. I haven't actually heard the exact name elsewhere and a quick Dutch Google search doesn't turn up much except maybe that it's somewhat more common in the southern provinces(which makes sense since it includes the 'ver-' morpheme). We do have a minister(or at least bigshot politician) called Maxime Verhagen... The original meaning isn't to clear either, maybe your ancester lived near some bushes or he was a gardener; 'heggenschaar' means hedge trimmer. Hope that helps some)

Yup, that's cool, thanks! I like the idea that I' related to a hedge trimmer/gardener. Maybe they even grew tulips! (not sure if that Holland = tulips come from here cliche is offensive)

do you like bushes?
(ha that's not offensive, we do have a bunch of tulip fields here, but the cliche comes from the 17th century where we got a bit rich from tulip trade until it reached the first economic bubble ever... so just half accurate)

I like berry bushes a lot. My neighbour's strawberry bush grew through our fence at my old house which was great and an uncle had wild blackberries at a previous house. Other than that I don't really have an opinion on the bushes I've been around. LOL
Except hedges grown though chainlink fences. Nobody prunes them enough or cleans the dead leaves + garbage out from under them that I've seen, so I'm negative towards those.
I'd like to think I'd enjoy having a small herb garden though.

Iz good songwriting, but the sound is exactly the same as Comsat Angels or From the Lions Mouth by the Sound, and I get tired of it easily.

I've heard too much post-punk, so I'm not a good representative for most listeners in that area.
