Maybe spoken word-er? Or if the place I learn bass at lets me borrow a room to record myself in I could try to channel at-a-concert-me and do raw shouting. (Dun want to shout at home because it would scare the dog)

Coincidentally I've been looking into loop pedals too. =)
This song I'm thinking super simple bassline with paintcan snare, trowel hihat, crowbar for another drum, rubber mallet and floor for kick drum for da beat. And then play a drill solo over that (out of time tho). I'll see if I can't convince myself to vocalify something.
