I first saw the Ozrics playing in a make-shift tent at Stonehenge in 84, apparently they formed a year earlier at the same festival!
Too cool.
Ozric Tentacles is a band that I gave a quick judgement to years ago, I heard one song by them and kind of wrote them off at the time. You inspired me to give them a listen this afternoon. I've been listening to Curious Corn and am really enjoying it. Sadly, Tantric Obstacles wasn't an option on Google Play so I can't really vote in good faith, but I'm enjoying the one I could find so thank you!

I first heard of The Enid on this site, and they intrigued me very much. The Spell was the first album of theirs I bought and I was hooked. It is still my favorite. After that, Marillion.

I have purchased Misplaced Childhood the same day of Soft Machine's "Land of Cockayne"...and I have enjoyed both a lot. I remember exactly where I was and with whom the first time that I've listened to them. I've also played the whole Misplaced Childhood in a cover band...Of course that's my choice.

IQ and the Ozrics are the ones that stand out for me.
I'll give the underdogs the vote this time.
