The Strawbs/Live at NEARfest ....import CD $21.99
The classic line-up of the veteran English band regrouped in 2004 for a
lauded international tour. Spearheaded by singer and songwriter Dave
Cousins, along with guitarist Dave Lambert, bass player Chas Cronk,
drummer
Rod Coombes, and keyboard player John Hawken, the "Hero & Heroine" era
line-up amazed audiences worldwide. This disc was recorded at NEARfest,
an
annual event celebrating the resurgence of progressive and art rock
worldwide. The set was recorded in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in June
2004.

Soft Machine/Soft Stage: BBC In Concert 1972 ....import CD $17.99
This live BBC concert was recorded at London's Paris Theatre on
20.7.1972,
just a few months before the live and studio material for band's album
Six
was put together. The Six album is widely regarded as a great record,
but as
the critic Duncan Heining says in his liner notes to Soft Stage, this
CD is
actually even better. This concert was the fifth by this incarnation of
Soft
Machine, with Karl Jenkins joining Mike Ratledge, Hugh Hopper and John
Marshall, adding his considerable skills on woodwinds and keyboards,
not to
mention his talents as composer. This performance also showcases the
exceptional Hopper-Marshall rhythm section. 'Slightly All The Time',
from
the pre-Fifth days, is almost unrecognizable. The rest of the set is a
mixture of compositions, mostly bearing only minor resemblance to the
originals, from Fifth and Six

Stoney Edwards/Stoney Edwards; She's My Rock ....import CD $17.99
This CD brings together two of the finest albums by U.S. Country singer
Stoney Edwards, originally released in 1971 and 1973 on the Capitol

Soft Machine & Heavy Friends/BBC In Concert 1971 ....import CD $17.99
This is a live session recorded for the BBC at London's Paris Theatre
on
March 11th 1971. John Peel introduced the concert as being by "Soft
Machine
and Heavy Friends". This is a unique recording in that, for this BBC
session, the band augmented and fragmented and performed with other
great
jazz musicians, including Ronnie Scott on tenor sax. The accompanying
12
page colour booklet includes brief notes from Robert Wyatt, Hugh Hopper
and
Elton Dean, who all recall their own memories of this recording. Also

Pip Pyle's Equip' Out/Instants ....import CD $17.99
Pip Pyle was a key figure in the Canterbury Music scene. In fact, as a
founder member of Hatfield And the North and National Health, he
deserves
mention as one of the greatest progressive rock drummers. In 1994, his
band,
Equip' Out, performed a live show in Paris which is now released here
for
the first time. This particular line-up (Pip Pyle, Elton Dean, Patrice
Meyer
& Paul Roger) only ever did a handful of gigs.

Gryphon/Glastonbury Carol ....import CD $17.99
This album was compiled with full assistance from the band and features
their two BBC Radio 1 sessions, recorded in 1972 & 1974. Also included
here
is their single, 'Glastonbury Carol', which was originally commissioned
for
the closing titles of the film, 'Glastonbury Fayre'. The master tapes
to
this track had been missing for the past 30 years and were only
unearthed
recently.

As co-founders of Steeleye Span, Gay & Terry Woods were pivotal figures
in
the Irish folk scene of the late 60s. By the early 1970s, they were

established as a popular duo. Between '74 & '76, they recorded three

help
of Gay & Terry and features their personal favourites from this period.

British saxophonist Elton Dean has long been the spearhead of free jazz

Dreamtime/Cathanger '86 ....import CD $17.99
Dreamtime was formed in 1982 as a jazz trio featuring Nick Evans, Gary
Curson and Jim LeBaigue. However in the same year it augmented to a
quintet
with the addition of Jim Dvorak and Roberto Bellatalla.  A couple of
years
later this sextet was born, when the band augmented yet again with the
addition of Keith Tippett on piano. This album was recorded in 1986 and
is
released now for the first time.

Deke Leonard's Iceberg/Wireless ....import CD $17.99
A compilation of three radio sessions recorded between 1972 & '74. The
first
two sessions (tracks 1-7) were recorded in Europe. The third session
(tracks
8-11) was recorded for John Peel's Radio 1 show. None of these
recordings
have ever been released before now.

Compiled by Eric himself, this compilation features the best of his BBC

This album is comprised of Gene's 1971 album, 'I'm Back And I'm Proud',
plus
4 bonus tracks recorded in session for BBC Radio 1 in October 1971,

few days before he died.

Mick Softley/Songs For Swingin' Survivors ....import CD $17.99
Songs for Swingin' Survivors was first released in autumn 1965. It was
never
subsequently reissued at all and is now released on CD here for the
first
time. The accompanying 8 page booklet features extensive liner notes,
including Mick Softley's own note from the original LP.

These two albums (originally released in 1969 & 1972) represent the
birth of
Billie Jo's career. Both titles have been digitally remastered and are

Grease Band/Grease Band + bonus BBC session ....import CD $17.99
The Grease Band's debut album is released here on CD for the first

Mickey Jupp/Live At The BBC ....import CD $17.99
Previously unreleased BBC session & concert recordings from the
Godfather of
Southend Rock. Recorded 1978-79. Includes the previously unrecorded
'Wrong
Food'.

Help Yourself/5 ....import CD $17.99
In 1973, the Helps began recording their fifth album. However, these
sessions were never completed, the album was never released, and the
band
split later that year. In 2002 the band reconvened once again to
complete
the album and it is now released here for the first time. The cover
features
an original illustration by the legendary Rick Griffin and the booklet
includes a liner note from Malcolm Morley.

Gypsy/The Romany Collection ....import CD $17.99
Gypsy were one of the great attractions of the Isle Of Wight 1969
Festival.
A couple of years later, they released their debut eponymous album
which
drew favourable comparisons with Buffalo Springfield and Moby Grape.
The
Romany Collection brings together the long awaited reissue of Gypsy's
first

Heron/Black Dog ....import CD $17.99
Thirty years after their original formation, Heron recorded this new
album
in the village of Black Dog in Devon, England. As keyboardist Steve
Jones
put it, “reliving our past but bringing it up to date”. The band has
retained its unmistakably English sound and the songs are as unique as
ever;
still as relevant today as they were 30 years ago.

Roger Morris/First Album ....import CD $17.99
Recorded in the UK in 1971, First Album was a fine addition to the
burgeoning British country rock scene that encompassed the likes of
Matthews
Southern Comfort, Quiver, Help Yourself, and Brinsley Schwarz. Roger's
band
on this album features some of the finest musicians of the era,
including
Glenn Campbell, fresh out of Juicy Lucy (and formerly of The
Misunderstood),
drummer Rod Coombes, sax player Chris Mercer and bassist De Lisle
Harper.
The LP was Produced by ex-Tomorrow, Moonrider and Teenager Opera singer
Keith West. This is the first time this album has ever been released on
CD.
This issue boasts an additional 4 bonus tracks, not featured on the
original
LP. The accompanying 12 page booklet includes comprehensive liner notes
and
full lyrics to every track.
