"Discipline" is possibly my favorite song by my favorite band.  The great majority of metal or avant prog bands can only dream of being as intricate, intense, and flat-out exciting!

King Crimson had never been so intricate, complex, and precise as they were on this album.  The sound was totally different but the insanity was still there, more sharply focused and finely-tuned.  One of my favorite albums of theirs.  I vote the(la) Hun once again for it's story within a story frenzy.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

Frame by Frame, very easily.

Frame.....though the 3 first Belew albums are my least favorite KC works. I prefer the later Belew  albums.

Very hard but went for Matte Kudasai out of sheer beauty. The first four tracks are all fantastic however.

A fine album, and a very difficult choice. The title track is real groovy, and it could use a few more votes so...

Discipline was such a depressing bore after Red that I care not to vote. The next two albums showed a little more flare.

How odd. I thought that the next two were the worst Crimso had ever done. Sure Red could never be beaten but I thought it was a heck of a lot better then Beat and TOAPP

This is way too hard. Unable to vote because I can't pick a "favorite," though "Thela," "Indiscipline" and "Sheltering Sky" have mileage to spare.

First time I've ever heard Discipline referred to as boring!

And it may not be the last. The thing just put me off. I never saw Belew as a suitable singer for the band, either. The supporting concert was enjoyable, though, and I even met Fripp in the lobby! As for the follow-ups, there was a little more emotion in them which raised the spirit of things a tad, but as a whole this post-Red triad of albums wasn't exactly a step forward since what was earlier accomplished.

So many to choose from but "Discipline" blows me away today just as much as it did when I first saw it in concert in 1982. Tony Levin is in a league all his own.
