Trip is so beautiful and also the first Renaissance song I've ever heard.

Tough vote. Annie is sublime on Ocean Gypsy and a bit out of her comfort zone in Trip..but on the other hand I love the latter track more as a composition. Trip to the fair it is.

Trip to the Fair easily, one of my favourite Renaissance tracks. The instrumental section is just brilliant.

My vote just put Trip to the Fair up 3-1 over Ocean Gypsy. Ocean Gypsy is a sweet ballad but Trip to the Fair is eerie and proggy. No contest in my mind, and evidently in 2/3 of voters as well! Someone said earlier that Trip to the Fair is creepy, and I definitely agree. That's what makes it so great.

this exactly. I love spooky fair/circus songs. Fairs and circuses are spooky anyway. I'm surprised Trip is as far ahead as it is, because Ocean Gypsy is one of Renaissance best known songs. And while Ocean Gypsy is beautiful, it's chorus isn't as great as the development of its verses, and even there, I thought Reniassance perfected that formula in the soft part of the miraculous "Day of the Dreamer" off Song for all Seasons.

I love them both, but "Trip To The Fair" is much richer and features those terrifying intertwined vocal parts.
