LEts try the negative of things ... What is the worst Guitar solo and the worst keyboard solo you have ever heard?

Also include other horrid solos from other instruments.

Here I go:

Worst Keyboard Solo : Dream Theater - Live In Budokan - Keyboard Solo

Worst Guitar Solos :

_ Yes - The Ancient (slide guitar solo)

_Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart

_ Some horrid guitar solo from Wakeman's "live in Buenos Aires" DVD

I can't think of a bad prog solo

But for a horrific "guitar solo" listen to NOFX's cover of Black Sabbath's Iron Man...

motorhead's ace of spades (the most overplayed piece of trash ever) has a really lazy, emotionless solo. Changing the subject slightly...what are your favourite unlikely guitar solos? Mine is the beautiful fuzzy guitar breaks in 'Goodbye To Love' by The Carpenters.

The guitar solo in 'How Many More Times' is one that I could put in a top 10 guitar solo list ... I never heard anyone outside a led zeppelin forum talk about the solo.

Holger Czukay's gutiar sounds exactly the same in every Can song I have heard so far...

O C'mon, the first part of the solo wasn't really a solo. It was Jordan have sex with his keyboards

The pipe organ interlude in Close to the Edge is really tough for me to listen to. I don't know if Wakeman thought of it as a solo or not.

If it's worth playing, it's worth playing loud!

The Synth solo in "Invisible Touch" (the song) by genesis. Haha, its actually not bad but its horridly out of place. I like to imagine the brainstorming for it. Phil and Mike "What would make this straightforward nothing elaborate pop ballad better?" Tony "Innapropriate synth solo".

same here. its a good song. if you dont like his solos, try listening to "cortez the killer". my favorite neil young song with great guitar playing. its basically a very long solo with some singing.

Everybody (Except my dad) hates it whenever I grab a keyboard, and play that part.
