From the states...
Neal Morse
From Texas!!!
The Mars Volta!!
From England
Muse
and finally.. from Canada
MIRIODOR
great clip that Jose and Adele made from their incredible show at the French Embassy in 2010. Made a fan of me that is for sure

Not familiar with the Morse and I'm not expecting to vote for it but I'll listen anyway. Like the other three but this will be down to TMV and Muse for me.

absolutely adore that Miriodor album
never got into the Mars Volta.. and not for lack of exposure as Raff was a huge fan. Though that sample track lays waste man.. I might try again with that album... time permitting...
own the Muse album... f**k if I can recall if I ever listened to it.. likely found it on the cheap and got it.. and promptly forgot about it.
have avoided Neal Morse.. but likely the first album I'll check out from this poll.

The Morse sample: When he was singing I didn't care for the track; when he shut up I loved it. He should make an instrumental album. So this is down to Muse vs TMV...I voted for TMV.

I've heard that comment before Daryl.. one reason why I've stayed away from him..and that album..
till now I guess. Starting here.. due to amount of ground to cover.. giving these albums the quick hook if they don't connect quickly. though I will try to make it through the first 20 minutes. If an album takes longer than that.. it deserves to be sent to the showers. Everyone knows you put your best foot forward

well I can say this.. he is better than the still undefeated champion of worst prog lead singer.. Andy Latimer... problem is the music 9 minutes in.. is even more flaccid than non-Mirage Camel.. not a good sign

De-Loused is a masterpiece IMO, so easy win there, but Absolution and Avanti are both excellent albums. I can't stand Neal Morse, prog-by-numbers with nauseatingly peachy lyrics.

yeah.. I"m at 15 minutes in.. and already losing interest in continuing with this experiment. It needs a jump start of something interesting or creative quickly...

yeah.. I had my suspicions.. why I never touched the album previously. However to be fair.. I just about turned it off after that ghastly guitar talk-box bit at the 18 minute mark but still sticking it out. sh*t man.. if I could last through 40 minutes of Disco Volante I can do 30 minutes of generic uncreative prog.
