Same here! Great to see they will very probably advance.

Sadly Il Bacio won't go... their album is a great one. Well, majority wins!

Il Bacio Della Medusa, Discesa agl'inferi d'un giovane amante.

When he rides, my fears subside. For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night.

Wow...a poll where I don't care who moves on because they are all excellent. Never thought I'd see the day...

It's between Ske and BdM and I went with the latter. Great Italian music in the classic RPI tradition. |
Exactly this. (Don't know the others, indeed)

This is one of the hardest groupings for me, as all the albums are great and it is not easy to choose a favourite. On the other hand, I do agree with my other half about Ske. Though it is an extremely accomplished album, and undoubtedly a rewarding listen, it has never grabbed me as strongly as - for instance - Ut Gret's Ancestor's Tale did. I suppose it's a question of chemistry.

hell Raff was telling me that there is connection.. direct I assume ....between the band and whoever did that theme song (opening song) for the Sopranos series. Which I loved!! Everytime we drive up to New Jersey I think of that song .. have it in my head...and wish my Ranger was a big ol' black SUV and my Winston... a big fat Cuban

I do love Altrock albums... and especially love 40-50 minute albums.
Enjoyed the Rational Diet album. Not quite enough to want to run out and get it, but if they ever made their way here.. I'd want to see them live in a heartbeat
so...
Discesa Agl’Inferi D’Un Giovane Amante/Perils tie for top spot On Phenomena and Existences 1000 Autunni
will vote later... ahh screw it.. why wait. Giving it to Perils... they need the vote.

moving on to Miasma and the Carosel of Headless Horsemen.
The Ske album was very good... one of 100's I suppose that are ...very good.. however it lacked that something special, that secret musical or compositional ingrediant that seperates it from the merely very good. You know that something special that makes you go .. wow man.. now that is great.

picking up here tomorrow.. with 3 albums I've never heard (or the bands themselves) dueling it out to steal my vote from the awesomeness that was the DdM album.

Melancholy is my headspace this morning but they don't need my help so I'm going to give the Headless Neddies a leg up. Definitely one for further investigation.
