Meddle no question. After the years it became my most favourite album by PF. One Of These Days and Echoes are Pink Floyd at their best. And even as the rest songs aren't on par with these two gems they're definitely good enough to like the whole record. Maybe only Wish You Were Here are on the same level as Meddle. Definitely it's not one of the most overrated record in music history - Dark Side ;-)

For me, Obscured by Clouds is the best overall album they made.
Meddle, Animals and DSOTM are also very good.

Obscured By Clouds is indeed the best. What's your favorite song from it? |
I like most of them, but Childhood's End is my pick.
|
Fantastic song. My favorite is probably The Gold It's In The... Great travel tune.

Dark Side bc of the time and place, when I bought it!

Animals for me, I love the darkness with the musicality of DSOTM & WYWH. Ummagumma would be second.

^Yes, a Momentary Lapse of Reason for me too. It's the greatest Floyd album ever! I have listened to it everyday since it was fist released 30 years ago! It was so good that I threw the rest of Floyd records out! (how was that, micky? Did I sound convincing enough?)

I do have such a history with that album... the day M@X implements video reviews is the day I review it for the site and unleash the greatest PA's album review ever done...

It would likely get me arrested.. and contain acts that are illegal in 16 southern states.. but I would go out in a blaze of glory.. which is more than could be said of my 'review copy' of the album.

It's great to see Momentary Lapse getting more votes than the Wall

Wish you were Here for me, though I'm tempted to vote for Animals, since it's actually almost tied in my preference, and it's got much less votes. I almost would like to vote for Division Bell, since I really love that album too, and it's got no votes at all... but in the end it is Wish you Were Here and Shine on You Crazy Diamond that are my very favourite things from the band.

I have to go with the albums I keep coming back to. Meddle and Animals. Toss the coin - Animals. Thats it.

The epics always stand out but being fortunate to see decades come and go I still think WYWH and Dark Side Of The Moon along with Meddle are the very best of best.
They seemed to really nail it in the odd years of the 70's - 71,73,75,77,79
