Hi! I wanted to spread the word of a new prog album with a very fresh, yet very vintage touch: The Adventure of Harry and Walrus Kane, by Octopie.
It's a 45-minute and continuous concept album about a man named Harry, who falls asleep and dreams a dream about a Walrus named Kane, who takes him back in time to his childhood through a Vortex in the sea. He embarks on an amazing and psychedelic adventure, which includes a pirate ship with disco-pirates, being trapped in a stomach of a whale, being blasted into space and onto a planet which is only inhabited by children and a lot more. :D The story is about finding the inner child in you and letting go of the norms and pressures the society puts on you. It's about finding the curiosity, joy of life and openness to the world that a child often has and reconnecting with the world with an open heart. The production is done in a vintage 70's style and should satisfy any Yes, Rush, Genesis or Jethro Tull fan. I recommend you check it out! The album is available on Spotify and other streaming services, but if you really want to dive into the story, there's a CD version available via the group's bandcamp, which comes with a 24-page booklet which is done in a children's book fashion with lyrics of the whole story and illustrations of the key events in the story. Here's the link to the group's bandcamp: https://octopieband.bandcamp.com/album/the-adventure-of-harry-and-walrus-kane Here's a link to Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/5gDIUTjroiQKRqprQxcWpz Here's the album on progarchives: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=49928 Hope you like it! :)

Listening on Spotify now - quirky and interesting. Liking this a lot, all sorts of influences going on here.
