Awesome!  Alright, I tried to write a short bio (this was harder than I thought it would be):

Quote Dora the Destroyer is the one-man instrumental project of 27 year old Michael Blackmond, hailing from Detroit, MI.  After college and exhausted by the grind of playing in bands, he started recording from his home and posting ideas to soundcloud around 2013.  After garnering a small following over the course of the year, he decided to record and produce an EP.  Dora the Destroyer's debut EP, the Singularity, was released July 21st, 2015. Dora the Destroyer combines his influences of post-hardcore, math-rock, and progressive rock/metal to attempt to bring a unique sound to the prog genre.

And then, can I just use my EP's album art as the pic?  I uploaded it to imgur below.  I can upload the jpg here if that works better.

Cleared for addition.

Please provide a biography and a pic (jpeg) for a start. You can then add your album once the page is created.

Thanks

Hey, so I saw that everybody weighed in on progfreak:

Does that mean I get to be an "official artist" now?

Awesome!  Yeah, pretty short for sure, but I recall seeing some sort of minimum time in one of the sticky posts, and I think I have enough there (hopefully).  And yeah, production could be a lot better, but I'm still learning.  Hopefully that doesn't block me :(

K then, I checked it out. My thoughts:

- too technical for 'heavy prog'
- too consistently busy to be considered 'post-rock'
- not punk/indie sounding enough to be considered 'math rock'
- not technical or extreme enough for 'Tech/Extreme'

I actually think 'Progressive Metal' might be the best spot. They could be forced into Post/Math but, as much as I hate to say this, my team isn't known for rushing new suggestions into the database.

The post-rock / math-rock / heavy prog teams should be the first.

Good music.  Love the guitar.

Is there anything I should be doing?  Should I PM some of the guys on those teams (and maybe also ExTech)?

I contacted the post / math rock team on your behalf.

Sounded like a corporation.

When you start calling Eclectic "Exxon" let me know.

Didn't mention it but I do support your band onto the site. Good job dude. Hope you do more stuff in the future.

As for ExTech, are we talking about the company that makes multimeters? I dunno.
