This should be interesting....

I have a couple of interesting questions for the people mentioned above.

Trouserpress: If you could only live with one Gentle Giant album, which would it be?

Man Overboard: If you could only live with one TFK album, which would it be?

King of Loss: If you could only live with one prog metal album, which would it be?

Stonebeard: If you could only live with one neo prog album, which would it be?

Four impossible questions, methinks.

Let's see what happens.

I bet...

Trouser will say that he couldn't possibly live with only one...

King of Loss will say Scenes from a Memory...

And I really don't know about the others...

I agree with KOL. Stoney, I don't know. MO will probably say Unfold The Future, but after a bit of internal debate. Trouser will be the hardest one. Octopus maybe? I really don't know.

Script For A Jesters Tear

I'm not certain that I'd say Unfold The Future...  that would by my first guess, but then I'd think about it for a bit.  I would probably go with Stardust We Are, possibly with great regret, because of their long-form albums, it's the one I've spent the least time with...  therefore it's also the album I have the most to gain from.    Unfold The Future would definitely be a sure thing, but I would always regret abandoning the albums I haven't spent as much time with, because there's always so much more to learn...

GAH!  I suppose I'd pick Unfold The Future and cry myself to sleep at night wondering about the truth depth of the remainder of SWA Disc 2 that I haven't memorized!

What a horrible evil topic.

I remember Trouser said in the Favorites thread that his fave GG album was IAGH, but he's also said that a true GG fan likes all of their classic albums equally.  I've got a good memory for these things!

What's that supposed to mean?

(Note: I'm not offended, just dense. )

Welllll...  if he's got a favorite GG album, but true GG fans are supposed to like them equally...  he's either not a true GG fan, or he's transcended logic.  It being Trouserpress, I'd suggest the latter.

Oh!  Now I get it!

(For the record, that was the first moment of denseness that I've experienced in my life! )

So, as the topic starter, I'll keep track.

Trouserpress: Still unknown.

Man Overboard: Looks like UtF. Although he'll cry himself to sleep at night. And start smoking again.

King Of Loss: Still unknown.

Stonebeard: Still unknown.

I hope you all know that Stonebeard doesn't own many Neo-Prog albums.

Thats why I wasn't sure what the answer would be! I thought Tux was the most famous Neo-Prog fan!

That is the most likely source... stonebeard only talks of big game, but he really only has the mp3's from the site as his Neo-Prog source (he may have some Neo-Prog albums, but that I don't know).

I mean, I have more neo-prog albums than him.

ITs so easy to guess  Just see it!  But I'd surely miss one of them

And I don't consider BE to be Progressive Metal really, seriously, how can you call an album with 2 Progressive Metal songs/15 songs to  be Progressive Metal???
