The only PT album that I can't live without, In Absentia.
This message was brought to you by a proud supporter of the Deep State.

Not so crazy about Symphony X myself.

I want to like Symphony X, but They don't quite work for me. Funny when all the individual components of a song seem okay but the end result doesn't quite work. In Absentia is one of my favorite recordings now. Nothing like discovering a band years after their 'hiatus'.
More heavy prog, please!

The polls adrenalize us all.

Right, music is all about passion. Even rationalizing, reasonable, considerate, structure loving people like me, suddenly turn out to have a heart after all.

Hurray for Mick version 2. I have more trust in you than in Windows version 10

yeah...I'll be packing my Desert Eagle for the Supertramp-Le Orme poll next weekend..  in that one blood will flow LOL Le Orme will go down but in a blaze of glory..

I get to be William Holden here...  who wants to be Borgnine???

by god this movie sounds even better than a Judas Priest album on the stereo system at full blast

I'm up for that. One hell of a film. That said, I'm kinda gonna need all my bullets for The Rotters Club vs. Rush poll.

The creator had a Symphony X tape, but he left it in a cab.

funny enough.. it was SWilson's voice that drew me to this album.. my first exposure to PT.

Seems I got onto the PT wagon just as the wheels were falling off.. Raff likes Deadwing.. I thought it was.. ehhh... just OK.. but both of us think...quite the  less.. of the final PT albums.  LOL

and I'm the forum terrorist.. I suppose I've always been. Instead of targeting the forum leadership as I did in Mick v.1.. now I'm into going after the gen. pop.

Welcome to the "Annoy Micky thread"    Best keep out of this thread until Saturday, Micky, if I were you Many bah moments will follow for you, I'm afraid.

Don't know which of the two I will vote for BTW. Need to do some more listening.

If it were only about the vocals, then Allen easily crushes Wilson.  Allen is probably the closest any heavy metal singer has got to matching Dio's tonal purity as well as fiery intensity.  Unfortunately, even In Absentia sounds like Octopus or something like that compared to the strictly by the numbers Divine Wings. In Absentia it is.
