I had a listen to Fish here the other day, and it didn't really float my boat. Voyage on the other hand, while not the most extraordinary of albums, still sports astonishing beauty in the form of Shadow of the Hierophant. Goosebumps City for sure.

Got nothing to add here except get the unedited or extended 17 minute version if you haven't already. Five minutes more of musics most wonderful crecendos.

My version of Voyage has that long version of Shadow of the Hierophant too. But even though it seemed as if it would be a definitive version for the song, I actually liked the original better. The longer version seems just overkill, and the grandeur of that final section is washed away by it's over-long nature.
I'm not surprised that some may prefer the edited version but even before I knew about the length of the original recording I wished the end-section would go on "forever". If I for some reason had to edit the original Shadow of the Hierophant down to a about eleven minutes I'd rather start the tune at 5:55 and end it at 17:01.

Both are masterpieces, but Chris Squire gets my vote.

Went with Squire. Never was a huge fan of Voyage...I prefer some of Hackett's more recent stuff actually.

Chris Squire, Fish Out of Water.

Master James of St. George.
Of the fields and the sky.
He used to build castles of stone, steel, and blood.
But lines get broken down.
