which has a great 4th round matchup ahead of it against the Ske - Miasma winner.  A number of really good ones are on tap actually. Great stylistic matchups. Only one potential stinker at first glance

Jean Louis first blew me away as well. I did not not enjoy Morse as much as their debut. Anyone tried Uranus? Wasn't even aware that had released a (two year old) third album - until today.

Opeth, Still Life.

Sheesh. Jean Louis I can get. It is what it is and while that isn't what I choose to listen to on a regular basis it is worthy of note. What stuns me is its seeming popularity. You people are weird. Or is the whole thing merely a protest against the growler ? To be fair I actually enjoy Opeth musically but man oh man you cannot simply ignore that growl, oh how I wish I could.

Stuns btw is not necessarily a negative. Nor for that matter is weird.

Oh yes ..... I've just spent 15 minutes searching for an album called S/T. Embarrassed  Oh my, sometimes I even surprise myself.

LOLLOLLOL awesome!!!

perhaps we are weird.. but it is some really cool stuff man. I really dig the album and is much in line with my current tastes and likes, that said, if this had been a different Opeth album I would have voted for Ghost Reveries.. and would have over a great many other albums in the contest. That was a fanfrickintastic album...and one of my most favorite of modern prog albums

Jean Louis is the type of act I really dig these days. Great stuff so I certainly voted FOR them, but yeah Opeth really aren't my thing.

Haven't heard Jean Louis in full, so I won't vote, but I'm not a big Opeth fan, so it's not a problem. LOL

surprising result so far

I'd be even more surprised if it remains like this .. and for much longer.

Jean Louis had only 14 votes last time in winning its poll..  will that be enough?  I doubt it and Opeth will get its votes.

The insanity of Jean Louis for me although in my opinion this should be way closer in votes than it is. Still Life is a special album.

The one that sounds like a French bell hop.
