Oh, Christ, lord, thou who is crucified and holy, all of Serbia flies to Kosovo. The sturdy mountains are taking off, winged by Morava and Drina. [rivers] On three holy and on three unified, we are marching to the Kosovo field. We are marching to our destined place, dear mother, sister and bride. Farewell summer, autumn and winter, we are going to defeat them. Farewell first unborn child, farewell rose, farewell rosemary. When my dear heard of my departure, she put a marigold on my lappet. Christ, dear, crucified and holy, all of Serbia flies to Kosovo. Oh, Christ, lord, thou who is crucified and holy, all of Serbia flies to Kosovo
The song is dedicated to the battle between Serbs and Ottomans, A.D. 1389

Actually, the first "modern" genocide at Balkans was on Bogumils. Serbian medieval king Stefan Nemanja, already Christian, was killed cca 30% ofBogumils, a 30% of them were baptized, 30% were banishedto Bosnia.

Nothing special in the medieval era. Dualists were persecuted everywhere. Take the Albigensian Crusade against the Cathars in France, for instance. Wiped out nearly every last one of them in Languedoc.
