I probably should order the CD so I don't have to worry about that.

Heh...I bought my cd copy some 15-20 years ago and just last year got my hands on a vinyl copy.
In any case; may not be a bad idea to spin the ol' vinyl until you find the cd. It is without a doubt the release where Santana, and band, is at his most progressive. Just the guitar solos on this thing blast you straight through the room. Plus, there are tons of them out there at an affordable price (or maybe that's just in Denmark? I've seen them priced ridiculously low here).

There does seem to be quite a few copies around in CD and vinyl and they are very affordable.
It is an excellent live album(s) and I recall Carlos playing some synthesized guitar.
Recently there was a Santana special on cable and he talked about the LSD incident. I can't
even imagine what that would have been like.

I know, it is insane. First "trip" and he's trapped up on some stage in front of several hundred thousands of people....and with a snake instead of a string based instrumentLOL
You could call it a sonic shamanistic rite of passage, which then goes well with a tune like Soul Sacrifice methinks.

“The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

Great to see Welcome get some love in this thread. Santana III, Caravanserai (of course) and Moonflower are likewise amazing...well, they all are. Very hard to pick one.

I'll go with Welcome, too.
