I guess I screwed that up by using the term technical, which I just figured out is synonymous with death metal. I meant it just as regular metal with technical features, like time changes and complex rhythms. Apparently, I was misinformed.

I only really prefer Schism, Lateralus, and Parabola from their 2001 release. OTOH, Ænima consists of the best tech metal ever heard.
