I think the Uncyclopedia article was an affectionate parody of prog rock and couldn't resist smiling while reading.

As for the derailed topic of how to write a prog rock song, the Byrds had it figured out before prog was even established as a genre:

This piece made me listen to Spock's Beard. And it is Spock's Beard without Neal Morse.

My humble addition:

Don't forget to continue the song's lyrics' story on solo album (see: La Rossa and Lost And Found, Refugees and Easy To Slip Away by Peter Hammill) or just divide the song in many various parts spread them on regular band's albums, solo albums and band's album with guest return appearance (see: Thoughts and Afterthoughts by...yeah, Spock's Beard).
yet you still have time!

Sounds like a knob who hates prog. He probably think hard rock is the way to go and prog is elevator music. Dumb Kunt lol
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

It's just supposed to be a satirical article, not necessarily an actual criticism of prog. Smile
