Hmm, both albums are rather unequal for me: both have two or three very good tracks, but the rest is rather average. Speed King and Child in Time are all time classics but in my house so are Look at Yourself and July Morning... Despite the fact that I consider Child in Time by far the best of all those, I think I have a slight, but just very slight preference for Uriah Heep on this one.

A friend of mine told me once that Uriah feels like a bit cliche to him. I like it anyway, but I can understand his point, and I guess that that gives Purple an edge over the Heep.

I always found "Speed King" to be positively electrifying! Can't say I know "Look at Yourself" well, I need to listen to it.
