I'm not much of a fan of King Crimson's Lizard album, but "Cirkus" has got to be one of the best songs they ever did. Fantastic and kinda eerie.

The Enemy Within  - Grace Under Pressure - Rush

Didn't love that album but that's a great song.

Yes - Future Times/Rejoice (Tormato)
Genesis - There must Be Some Other Way (CAS - I like the album, but as everyone else seems to dislike it, here is the name of the song I find great on this album)

Ange - Sue les grands espaces bleus (Tout feu, tout flame) - I love this song.

While it is quite far off the proggy path, The Boomtown Rats exemplified this with The Fine Art of Surfacing, which featured I Don't Like Mondays and a whole bunch of crap.

With Comus' To Keep From Crying, an album that I like much more than most, various people think that "Children of the Universe" is the one saving grace on the album, but I consider the title track, "To keep from Crying" as good and think that it should be of interest to Comus fans and fans of folk-rock generally (in fact that tends to be the one that I am most likely to put on repeat). It's a very dynamic, exciting song to my ears.

With the much reviled Magma's Merci album, many people that "Eliphas Levi" is the one saving grace, but I also love "The Night We Died".

I like Lenny White's venusian Summer album, but it only has one really great track to my mind, which is the "Venusian Summer Suite".

Two not in the archives: I like the Marius Popp Panoramic Jazz Rock album, but at least from a Prog perspective, "Inscriptie" is the only track off it that I consider essential. And with my beloved Ennio Morricone, on his Il Gatto a Nove Code soundtrack from 1971, I love listening to the beautiful "Ninna nanna in blu", but the rest of the music is a sort of experimentalism that is probably good for the film's aesthetic, but does not make for a very entertaining album on the whole (not enough contrast).

I like "Cirkus" considerably, and actually Lizard is my favourite King Crimson album these days, but for me the real stand-out is the B side of the album. The "Lizard" suite is wonderful to my ears.

Different strokes for different folks....

I agree that Cirkus is superb, but I think the album Lizard is good overall, not great.

Awaken is great. Last time I listened to GftO, I only enjoyed Awaken and Parallels. Parallels is my favorite on this album.

That's about half the album, isn't it? Tongue

I think that Breathless is a very special album really. I see why many don't like it but it has a marvellous variety and some truly great moments, despite the fact that some of the variety went wrong.
Ice on ICSYHFH is a much better example, a vast majority of that album is far below par and Ice is really outstanding.
