Wow only three of my top 10 are on here. My number one is Il Balletto Di Bronzo's Ys since it's not here I went with Close To The Edge over Foxtrot. This was the year RPI blew up really good. | Darwin! was the first RPI album I ever heard and began my love affair with Italian prog. 1972... what a year! That said I can't not vote for Yes in this one.

Foxtrot edges out CTTE and TAAB - but what a great selection!

I didn't see the Grammys (share your opinion) but usually awards shows have a "people who died this year" piece and I'm guessing this was part of that, rather than an actual tribute.

Chris Squire was brought up at the Grammys and I missed it? I'd still rather be dragged behind a pickup truck then buried under a mound of table salt than watch that horsesh#t (same with the Oscars). Is the Squire segment on youtube to anyone's knowledge?

This is really a no-brainer. Not to take away from anything else up there but Close To The Edge is a masterpiece. There's no other way for me to describe it.
