I have finally heard in it's entirety, the album "The Website Story" by Triumvirat, that was recorded around 2002, but shelved and not released, as the record company backing it went bankrupt, and no one else would "pick up the ball" on this, including the band's official label, EMI Cologne.
Juergen Fritz said himself that he did not want this to be "son of Spartacus", so apart from the opening track "Just A Face",this recording doesn't sound much like Triumvirat, really.
The Website Story does have it's moments, though, with the striking, standout tracks being the first four, the aforementioned "Just A Face", and "Perfect World" (which kind of reminds me of Kraftwerk), and also "Dog Eat Dog" and "Celebration". Later on, there is also the interesting "Hard To Be A God", a reference no doubt culled from Fritz's previous soundtrack recording of the film of the same name from 1989,  and "Something Wicked This Way Comes", a title taken from the famous book by Ray Bradbury.
There are some vocals by Grant Stevens, and bass work by TM Stevens, and an appearance by John Miles, as well. What really holds this album together, musically, is Juergen Fritz's eloquent keys playing, which, as always, is a pleasure to hear, and Curt Cress's interesting drumming.
Vocally, things are adequate, but just so.
The production is first rate, and it is a shame that the record didn't see the light of day, officially.

^Hey, you're welcome, Chuck

^ No, I have never published any books on Triumvirat, Logan, but that is something that surely needs to be done.

my source for the music will remain un-named, and my copy of it is for private study purposes only. And I'm not sure who has the rights to it. I'm sorry I can't be of more help on that.

Indeed it does, and you have such a wealth of knowledge. It would be lot of work without much financial reward, but I'm sure a labour of love. SO much work, and wouldn't expect such commitment.

I've started on several books, but never manage to get them done. We have a member here who wrote one on VdGG I believe, and Prog Lucky published. Be nice if PA could throw its support behind such a project.

At least, if time permits, be good to have a great Trimvirat website. There is one, but it's not that informative. If you haven't contributed to it, I'd think you'd be a great asset to it. It needs more web design -- very basic.

Right now, time does not permit these things, but they are still important considerations, thanks for your interest and support.

There are always kickstarters for projects such as cds and books.

I imagine Triumvirat could easily get a small prog label today to release
this work, however, getting money back from a label can be tricky.

So, did you learn anything about the origin of the title?

Yes, the story depicted in "The Website Story", has it's genesis in what was supposed to become "Part One of a Digital Trilogy", the results of the dangers of a future, internet-telecommunications controlled society. The "ultimate threat" has it's basis in the problems of cloning, and manifests itself in the manipulation of time.
In a sense, the internet gone totally wrong; thus the title "The Website Story".

This is a complete puzzle to me.  In today's day and age, they don't need a record label.
Send the tracks to iTunes and people can buy it and download it that way.   What
Good is it to Juergen collecting dust.    Good or bad, there are a lot of people
Who would buy it digitally.  Still scratching my head.
Thanks for the info, swill12095

^  Well, if the recordings were owned by the record company that went bust then the band may not have the rights to them.  Such situations can be very messy legally.

Even if Juergen has the rights to it, I wouldn't hold my breath on this one, people. He has said that he is not one to get sentimental about Triumvirat, and instead, Mr. Fritz is very forward looking, and probably too busy playing and composing for the Tommy Engel Band in Germany and working with the JFO (Juergen Fritz Orchestra) right now to even give a hoot about it. Sorry to have to say that.

Sounds interesting. Glad to hear Fritz is keeping busy in music.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
