Not a prog relevant thing, but he was at the top in the same years of prog and my memory of him has Pink Floyd, ELP and YES as soundtrack

Curiosity killed a cat, Schroedinger only half.

RIP
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Not exactly prog indeed, but he recorded this one single. It reached #21 in the Dutch top 40 in april 1969. It hit the charts in Basque Country in 1974.

Legend. Brilliant footballer and manager (Probably the greatest European footballer of all time).
I shook my head and smiled a whisper knowing all about the place

My first memory of him was the first football match I attended. My dad took me with him to De Meer (the Ajax stadium in those days). Johan Cruijff was a newbie in the selection back then and not yet out of his teens (it was 1965/66 or so). My father noticed his remarkable talents back then.

He was elected the Sportsman of the 20th Century by the local newspaper near the end of that period.

I'm defintely not the expert some of you all might be... but I definitely agree with that.

Greatest of the European greats. One that even the ignorant, as I was of the time in the 70's of the beautiful game, knew of and respected.  Along with Pele of course.
