Some of you may like some of these but not many of you will like all.

I have quite a few CDs/vinyl by the first three bands and I'm fine with them.
I have sampled almost all of the remaining bands at one time or another and none of them appealed to me.
Sampling is sketchy and I should have given them a better listen but there's just not enough time to spend on everything that is out there.

Only thing keeping me from saying I like all of these is that I don't know who the hay Material is. Closest I can come to that is Mineral...

Anyways, it'll be Voivod and Zoyd on top.

The mighty Art Zoyd are a top 5 band for me; Tortoise, Battles, Mr. Bungle and Material are also quite good and I don't know some of these, so there may be more good ones among them.
As an overall collection this list is quite good, it would beat most random lists of prog bands I could imagine.

Wonderful bands mostly;  Voivod brilliant if crazy progmetal pioneers; Tortoise superb, the postrock flagship, Battles as well; Goblin are awesome, Zombi flat-out rock; and Bungle & Zoyd kick ass .

From some of these bands I have heard one or two tracks, from others nothing at all. In some of these bands I am not even interested, but Art Zoyd may appeal to me.
