Here's an idea I had a few months ago but waited for the national holiday to do it. In the past year I discovered so many recent bands of the genre, I thought I should make a short playlist with some of my favourites.

Wow. This will be hard.
I like all of them and own most of them but this will take some time.

Some videos were deleted so I put Bandcamp links instead. I'm glad my vote is no longer the only one Tongue

I meant to get back to this sooner.
I had to go with Black Bombaim for the psyched out guitar and very cool sax.

^ Well, I knew you would vote for that one too Big smile The guitar tone is fantastic. Which side of "Far Out" do you prefer, by the way?

I must've missed this poll..

Nice idea though Samuel. I am rather surprised to lear that I only know two out of these, and I consider myself quite wellrounded in modern Portuguese acts.
I'll get back to you

^^  Wow, it's a very tough call but I think Africa ll slightly nudges out Arabia.
The guitar is more intense overall especially in the last two or three minutes where the guitar and sax are both over the top.

How is it that psych rock is so popular in Portugal....?     LOL

Went with the Sun Mammuth  thingy......sounded a bit like Causa Sui whom I like.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

I agree, "Africa II" is more progressive too. I think "Arabia" would benefit if the synths would be more interesting.

All these bands (and many more) are from the northwest, where there's a sort of Psych Rock scene Smile I'd probably be in a band if I lived there LOL

Indeed. I picked a good track, it's one of the softest.

You're right about the synth. Both tracks are great though and if I listened to them again today or tomorrow I might pick Arabia slightly over Africa ll.

BTW...Another band from Portugal that I found yesterday is "It Was The Elf" and the album is Fire Green.
They are pretty straightforward heavy stoner rock with fuzz and wah wah guitar.
Their album is on YouTube.

^ I never heard of them. I'll give it a listen Thumbs Up

By the way, do you know Sulfur Giant? It's mostly intrumental Psych Blues Rock with really good guitar work... and Hammond on a few tracks Approve

^  I haven't heard of them but it sounds like something I would be interested in. Instrumental Psych Blues Rock is exactly the type of music I'm always looking for. Thanks for the tip.

I went with Heara.
Nice to dig a little deeper into Portugal's acidic music scene, thanks Samuel.

^ Nice to see Sun Mammuth ahead, I really need to spin it more often.
My pleasure Smile
