I have lost an album and can't remember its name or artist!

All I know is the album cover has a drawing of a flying V guitar, on the right hand side and something like a black and white chequered board representing the floor, possibly 1960's/70's, not sure of nationality either.

hope someone knows this?

cheers!

Reminds me of Triumph's Just a Game....but I don't think it actually has  a guitar, but rather a "V" shape

many thanks, but unfortunately not! ~ the cover is less colourful than that one, it might even have only one spot of colour somewhere (e.g. red/orange), its quite black and white I think?

cheers!

^ I'd tend to agree, and like Finny it does ring a distant bell to me (kinda sounds like an early 80s metal cover), if it is a drawing and not a photo or graphic, than god knows what it is.

Thanx! ~ I know it's not 'metal' as I don't listen to much metal really.

My main interest is: symphonic/krautrock/space & fusion.

Cheers! ~ If it was 'ash' I definitely would not have forgotten that one! I think it could be a band that only made the one album (& no more), maybe not even gigged live either? I think it was available through record heaven online store. Confused

Maybe it's this one?

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=25449

It has the guitar and the black and white checkered background.  But the guitar isn't one the right hand side.

^ Yeah, could be it, but I still have doubts. Let's just leave it to the original poster to decide if this is the one he's looking for.

checkered floor made me think of Out Of Focus debut album Wake Up, but I don't think it has a flying guitar on it.

Nice suggestion, but unfortunately not.

Yes, this could well be it! The barbers pole on the right, plus the trapezium black shape on the floor underneath the 'barbers pole' could well have made my vague memory interpret that combination as a flying V (in the same way as people see shapes in the sky and recall them as flying saucers). It has been many years since I saw this album cover and my recollection is very vague indeed - to say the least!

I'm going to stick up an artists impression of what I thought I saw....   stay tuned!

@sagi
many thanks - certainly the right genre (krautrock), and the right circa too (1967 - 71).
I'm 95% certain this is it!!

I knew it! 50% percent of me was certain that this could be it. I should've posted this too! Anyway, this looks interesting, gonna check it out when I have the free time.

Yep great music on that album (not the biggest fan of Neumüller's vocals though he should've stuck with his sax imo).
