Great! :)
Mine are: 1. Egg. My absolute number one when it comes to prog rock. There is no second on no Egg album that seems wasted. A perfect band! 2. Henry Cow. Love, love, love. Discovering this group has brought a number of changes in my life, also personal life. 3. Camel or Van Der Graaf Generator I could name my top two, number three is tough, man... A lot of bands could land there, but I feel like Camel is the most appropriate, Mirage completely changed my perception of music. Van Der Graaf Generator, especially the song "Lemmings" is one of not so many pieces that still brings tears in my life. I was also thinking about Gentle Giant initially. However, there are some pieces that I do not really like. There is also ELP. Steamhammer, here classified as crossover prog, is another favorite of mine, but I really don't conside it to be prog rock, but rather prog rock strongly rooted in blues. I'm pretty confident with those three. Edited by ALotOfBottle - June 18 2016 at 14:25 |

^ Not Wishbone ???
I couldn't pick just 3 if I tried....... Probably Magma, VDGG/Hammill, Ozrics (with Floyd as a runner-up) .........but I could happily say Fruupp, Le Orme and Ange Or..........Kajagoogoo, Spock's Beard and Meshuggah............ Seriously, my head is that messed up........... |

Weighing both my tastes today as well as my more long-term enjoyment, it would have to be:

Yes. I remember this post from a while ago that mentioned a FB reply where Xavier mentioned being a fourth of the way through mixdown on Infernal in April. So, we're getting there.

^ My friend - I did think of the Cow, and believe me, they are in there somewhere, along with most Canterbury things..........truly, it's a moot question - like, how many McDonald's French-Fries are consumed within a day. You honestly just can't answer.
For instance - this afternoon, I'd swear my fave bands for this point in time could be HC, Iron Maiden and Hawkwind. I love everything I listen to, and to narrow it down to just 3, well, it's futile. |
