One Slip got the vote, nearly Sorrow. IMHO a superb song, great tune there. Always thought this was the obvious single unlike Learning To Fly. Fine album from Pink Floyd. Apparently the, or his ( ;) ), first effort got rejected. Love to hear that...

I am rather fond of Terminal Frost, especially as it is wedged in between my two least favorite tracks, the only tracks I truly dislike on this album. In fact, I quite like the album as a whole - lots of good songs.

Yeah, I like Terminal Frost a lot too. The Machine tracks may not be very enjoyable indeed, but they are short enough that they won't bring the album down... I see them more like transitional tracks.

In my opinion both parts of A New Machine invoke so much emotion with such minimalist style and short length that it makes them some of the best interludes I've heard.
