Hi! I am Lucas Shaw, 13 years old from U.K. I just found this forum. I have played piano for 9 years and guitar for 7.

     Currently, my favorite type of music is progressive metal/progressive rock. Some of my favorite bands are Dream Theater, Opeth, Animals as Leaders, Rush, Yes, Genesis, Tool, Liquid Tension Experiment, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and King Crimson.

     I am not just a prog fan, but I also enjoy speed-metal. Some of my favorite speed-metal composers are Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Jeff Loomis, Herman Li, and Yngwie Malmsteen.

I am new to this forum and it looks great! Hope to discuss music with you! :)

What kind of guitar and effects pedals do you use?

My two main guitars are Carvin JB200SC and the Music Man John Petrucci Majesty. I just ordered a lot more effects pedals. Some that I have are the John Petrucci cry-baby wah, Digitech DT whammy, MXR phase 90, EVH Flanger, and Stereo Chorus.

Cool! I am interested in that MXR 90 Phaser and the EVH Flanger too.

If you need a good delay pedal for progressive rock, I recommend the Strymon El Capistan!
