    Posted: July 11 2016 at 20:22

For several years now, I have been doing a long-running series of interviews with musicians and vocalists that have been part of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Since Vitalij has quite the history in his own right with prog-metal bands Artension and Ring of Fire, I thought some here might have an interest in this one.

Some of the subjects we covered:

- His musical background, including studying in Ukraine, Russia and Switzerland
- That one special album that turned him onto rock
- Balancing his Classical studies and work with the neo-classical rock side
- Performing with Savatage at Wacken 2015
- His recent co-written song for TSO, King Rurik
- Writing and recording his new solo release
- The imminent return of Artension

I suggested him for inclusion on PA, I think in 2010. Now that even Malmsteen is in the archives, I think Vitalij  deserves a page here.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I am a bit surprised that he hasn't been included on this site yet.  His band Artension is here already and much of VK's solo material fits under the Prog umbrella.  I would second the vote for his inclusion here.

He was rejected back then, has he got any new material since 2010?

Not as solo artist for what I know. He's now playing in Trans-Siberian Orchestra (featured on PA as well as his former band Artension) and is part of the Vivaldi Metal Project which has released four CDs (the four seasons of course).

I'm one of them who have suggested him, and sadly he's been rejected. So ... this thread moved to Get The Word Out.
