Has Anna been considered for admission? Not sure where she would fit -- I'll leave that up to minds far more convoluted than my own . . .

Who is she?Embarrassed

BTW Drew - seeing as you have access to the team threads my guess is that you'll have more luck posting directly in whatever genre team thread you find fits the given music the best.

Her latest album "The Miraculous" is included in the New Prog Releases blogspot, and has been on progstreaming...but isn't there any longer.

She's on deezer though, and spotify...and of course YouTube:

From "The Miraculous":

From "Ceremony":

From "Singing From The Grave":

And a look at the lassie performing some stuff live with her band:

Interesting stuff indeed, and we've certainly had worse suggestions posted here!! LOL

Edit: She is also one half of the Swedish Neoclassical/Darkwave/Ambient/Experimental duo Hydras Dream.

If it's not Post Rock (although it's only evident on her latest album), maybe Crossover or Eclectic?

This album "The Miracolous" is simply outstanding! I support her addition, maybe to Crossover.

Thanks, David! I wasn't sure if I had any 'shortcuts' available to me. I'm not always comfortable with white privilege.

BTW: Are you serious? You don't know Anna Von Hausswolff? Church organist who has crossed boundaries into what I would call the prog realms. Plenty of vids on YouTube you can check out, but her 2015 album, The Miraculous is just as the title suggests. She's Dutch born and Swedish-Danish living/practicing/recording.

Just gave it a listen. A very interesting and good one indeed. Dark and cinematic. Should be included or rejected, but not ignored. I guess Post Rock, maybe Crossover.

Her music sounds like PA material, but I'm not hearing much in the way of post rock here. It mostly reminds me of Susanne Sundfør and Bent Knee, so I'll notify the Crossover Prog team of this thread.
