Fantastic album Sam! Lots to enjoy here, some really amazing playing throughout, I always loved the ideas on this album even though it is highly inspired by Crimson but who cares if the music is so good... I even played the final track Laocksetal on a radio show once  Keep at it my friend.

Sam, if I remember I prefer the first Shylock album `Gialorgues', actually sounds a lot in parts for a practice run of what Anglagard would later go on to do. I really should get on and track their two albums down.
Dave/Sam, in regards to Roach....I know what you mean. I always blind-buy his albums because I'll usually find something good. But I was listening to his most recent `Nostalgia for the Future' on the drive home, and I swear, as much as I like it, I was thinking `I am absolutely certain parts of this have shown up on other albums' . It's more of those drifting floating ambient pieces, but you could probably interchange much of it with at least twenty of his other albums and not really know the difference. Gialorgues is also very good and definitely worth having. I always preferred Ile De Fievre a little bit more, it seemed more focused and mature. As a matter of fact It's been a while since I've played these, I should get on that very soon.
