Some interesting listings in here even if I don't know half of those Michael
What's been puzzling me though is: Does Steve Roach release everything he records? He is like an electronic Buckethead! I can't keep up with the pace.

Yesterday:
VA - Mono No Aware
Dzyan - Time Machine (Yes!!!!! Where have you been the last year or so?!???)
Gaudi - Magnetic
Burning Red Ivanhoe & Povl Dissing - 6 Elefantskovcikadeviser
La Bocca Della Veritá - Avenoth
Ingranaggi della Valle - Warm Spaced Blue
Dead Can Dance - s/t

Fantastic album Sam! Lots to enjoy here, some really amazing playing throughout, I always loved the ideas on this album even though it is highly inspired by Crimson but who cares if the music is so good...
I even played the final track Laocksetal on a radio show once Big smile
Keep at it my friend.

Sam, if I remember I prefer the first Shylock album `Gialorgues', actually sounds a lot in parts for a practice run of what Anglagard would later go on to do. I really should get on and track their two albums down.

Dave/Sam, in regards to Roach....I know what you mean. I always blind-buy his albums because I'll usually find something good. But I was listening to his most recent `Nostalgia for the Future' on the drive home, and I swear, as much as I like it, I was thinking `I am absolutely certain parts of this have shown up on other albums' . It's more of those drifting floating ambient pieces, but you could probably interchange much of it with at least twenty of his other albums and not really know the difference. I always have the theory that it's every few that he delivers something really special, but hey, all good!

Tonight's choices:

Yes – The Yes Album
Earth and Fire – s/t
Curved Air – Air Cut
Memoriance – Et Apres
Whalefeathers – s/t
Anglagard – Hybris
Anglagard – Viljars Oga
Forgas Band Phenomena – Acte V
Slivovitz – Bani Ahead
Magma – Felicite Thosz
Cosmic Ground – s/t

I didn't mean it in a bad way, I very much enjoyed it. It's a lot to process at first listen though, so I'll certainly keep at it Thumbs Up

I only knew Gialorgues before, although I only listened to it once and don't remember anything about it Embarrassed

I think it's inevitable when you release so many albums. The next time I'll buy something from him I'll try to get something very different from the ones I have, like those first ones.

Gialorgues is also very good and definitely worth having. I always preferred Ile De Fievre a little bit more, it seemed more focused and mature. As a matter of fact It's been a while since I've played these, I should get on that very soon.
