I have one Boards of Canada album (Campfire), and I’ve gotten some enjoyment out of it but not a ton. Still acquiring the taste, as the Shulmans say. |

Yeah, couldn't agree more! It is especially true for bands like Autechre, which cannot be accurately compared to anything else in the musical world and you can only imagine what they sound until you've actually heard their music! I see you with the "beats." As to Boards of Canada, Campfire Headphase is kind of past their "classic" period, which would probably be something like 1996-2002. Those earlier albums are kind of more organic and vintage sounding, but again, one just cannot always describe music accurately. Still an album I really like and (I think) their only album to feature guitars. Yesterday and today: Autechre - Garbage Astronaut - Early Peril Autechre - Confield Dania Shapes - Soundsystem Pastoral Yellow Swans - Going Places Boards of Canada - In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country
