Yeah I'm really digging them these days. Very diverse in sound...not concerning individual songs on albums since they seem to get into a particular groove and roll with it, but over the course of their discography. They sure have a lot of phases!

Killling Joke - Killing Joke: Not the classic debut, but the 2003 self-titled, and man does it get heavy. Much of the vocals are in belligerent soccer hooligan mode, but the croons come out on occasion, and  "You'll Never Get to Me" is quite a beauty. Overall, though, these is one mean and even metallic affair. Punchy and awesome.

Killing Joke - Fire Dances: Quite energetic with lots of tom-hits, giving many of these songs a "tribalistic" vibe (is that even a word)? The chord progressions are really weird, draping the album with a weird vibe, almost eerie yet ironically jubilant. Unusual post-punk rock with some pop inflections but nothing close to commercial.

Oh heck yes!! Wink

Love Asteroid off the ST album . You are right. It is unabashedly sheer hooliganism .

I weirdly love Jaz Coleman's vocals . Confused
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Foreigner-- 4 ( MFSL Original Master recording . Dear God. I wish MFSL made more masters of music I truly like . This is such a great listen from the Thomas Dolby synths to Lou Graham's amazing vocals. )
Claudio Simonetti-- Opera ( bloody majesty!! Love it! First listen .)
Duran duran-- Notorious. ( This album is underrated . a beautiful well recorded pop album with an dash of sophistication. )

I saw Robert on that tour.  I might appreciate it more now, but at the time all I wanted to hear was some Zep.  I was roundly disappointed with the set list.  LOL

not in the mood for “in the mood” eh? Haha
I just saw Plant live a few months ago and he played nothing from this era of his solo career, except for a drastic rearrangement of In the Mood. He did play some Zep - in fact he opened with The Lemon Song (minus the lemon lyric).

Indeed. Truth be told, I'm not much of a Plant fan generally.
