Thanks for info, did not know they were considered before, I won't bother with mentioning them then.  After a second listen, more psych then fusion in my mind on this album (no red wine influence on this listen Big smile).  Sort of reminds me of early Barrett Floyd and a little bit of Beatles psych with a mix of satire lyrics like Zappa.  Would like to hear their latest album also.

Today
The Claypool Lennon Delirium - Monolith of Phobos
King Crimson - In the Wake of Poseidon
Led Zeppelin - S/T

Edit:  Also glad to see Michael from down under back in the house!  Hope your dad is ok.

^ Have a ball Sam!  25, I can't even remember where I was then, I think Baltimore LOL.

Never knew of those Stones titles Jim, of those 3, the one to listen to?

Yesterday:
Mott the Hoople - The Hoople (really was into these guys in the mid-early 70s, fond of the Mott and The Hoople albums).  Wonder what they would have developed into when Mick Ronson joined them, but then Ian broke down and Mott was no more.

None did too much for me. That blues album is okay if you're a big blues fan.

My little Stones review went like this:

I LOVED the mid-70s trilogy of Goats/It's Only/Black and Blue.

I LOVED the next trilogy as well, but especially Tattoo You. That's a classic.

Skipping Undercover, I was really surprised how much I liked both Dirty Work and Steel Wheels.  Both are just fun, consistent straight-ahead rock that worked for me. Nothing mind-blowing, but far better than I would have guessed they could pull off by that time.

The 90s/00s are a bit harder to digest and I'll need another play of those.  They strike me as okay with some good songs, but a bit less consistent. And they strike me as overproduced, too refined, with all of the Stones loose, laid-back barroom feel choked out of them by their producer.

Tattoo You is a definite keeper. Ironically, it’s an album of outtakes from the past few years. Though that makes some sense when you consider the high points from those years and what they were capable of.

Al Kooper’s albums are real consistent. I’d recommend “Easy Does It” to just about anyone (double album, 1970). Naked Songs is my 2nd favorite. I Stand Alone is his first (1968) and it has an adventurous Beatle-like vibe to it.
If you like one, you’ll probably like em all, I do.

He’s bestknown for his “Super Session” album with Bloomfield and Stills, but that is a different kind of thing- very jammy. His studio albums are tasteful, detailed affairs showing a strong command of musical forms and studio technique.

My God you ALL have amazing taste . Clap
Love seeing DCD getting some air time with some of you gents .

And Mr . Holymoly. You don't wanna know what I shelled out to get that MFSL of Songs From The Big Chair. Confused
Worth it though for me since I'm nuts about fidelity and that album . Actually There are 2 bonus tracks on it. Shout (extended mix 8:46 ) and Everybody Wants to rule the World (5:24). Absolute heaven. Proggy in a way? You bet .Smile

Well gents . Just one album today on my way to work.

The Prodigy-- The Fat of the land .( RIP Keith Flint .) what a shocker man . Sleepy
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣
