Interesting. I really like this album, especially the dark, stoned the atmosphere it has. I can admit that they are not great musicians, but in my opinion, there is something really soulful and human about that musicl. However, it's probably not anything you would like to spend too much time trying to dig, you either like it or it bores you. Tongue

Wow, are Gryphon playing at the festival you're going to see, Sam?

I've had all of Gryphon's studio albums (with three of them in the car right now) for many years now, and from what I remember I think they were all very good, but for the life of me I don't remember a single note off them - it's been MANY years since I've spun them!

Yes they are, although I only listened to this album once before, a few years ago (and it still didn't do much for me this time). What do you recommend from them?

Damn...I'm officially jealous SamuelEmbarrassed

I'd love to go see Gryphon in action (although they must be pushing 80 by now). As for another way into their discography, I'd say Midnight Mushrooms. I dig Red Queen and Mushrooms just about equally tbh.
P.S. You didn't like Lament?Shocked Man I love that track - especially that cathartic ending with that sweeping synth.

Yesterday:
Arco Iris - Sudamerica
Invisible - Durazno Sangrando
Sun Ra - Lanquidity
Moogg - Italian Luxury Style
Edgar Allan Poe - Generazioni
NIL - Quarante Jours Sur Le Sinaο
Steamhammer - Mk ll
Franco Battiato - Clic
Klaus Schulze - Picture Music

^ Well, I didn't dislike it, but I didn't connect with it so far. On the other hand, I just finished "Raindance", their worst rated album, and I honestly enjoyed it more. I'll try the Mushrooms next Wink

Raindance eh? Ein Klein Heldenleben is one that right? Love that tune.

Oh and careful with those mushrooms! Take it from someone who once spent the night in a tree.
