Icarus Machine
The members of Icarus Machine came together late 2015 after collaborating online over several years on various projects with each other. The members, Bill Babcock, Jenny K Brennan and Jordi Ribas, hail from all over the world: Massachusetts, United States; Ontario, Canada; all the way to Galicia, Spain. Their first album is written around the events in a novel written alongside the music. "This Sundered World" is a steampunk inspired story about Gabriel who finds himself alone in a sundered society, a world he knows nothing about. Gabriel and the characters he encounters became the inspiration for the music and lyrics on the album. Yawn...Another suggestion without a sub genre in the topic title...and guess what? - It was missed. Andrew - if you are reading this please include a suggested sub genre in your topic titles - even if you are not sure. At least someone will then be drawn to the thread, and can always make an alternative suggestion if they don't agree that your own suggested sub is the most appropriate one.
As for Icarus Machine, it's female fronted, melodic (possibly progressive) metal to theses ears, with perhaps the occasional nod towards Heavy Prog. Anyway, I added them to progfreak pending a possible evaluation: http://progfreak.com/Icarus-Machine-167907.html. There are full samples of nine of the fourteen songs that make up the album on the band's official website (via link in o.p.) and also on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/icarusmachine. And the full album is on spotify: https://play.spotify.com/album/7iQOwuncibAOeQvr6ZZswy.

One final bump for a possible check by the prog metal team, then I'll let this one go for good, since Andrew hasn't responded and made the intended sub genre easily visible by including it in his topic title.
