I love to dance to proggish music or space away or whatever. Especially when there are the really progressive forms of damce, acid jazz, jazzfunk, funk, disco.
A couple of nice bands mixing progrock and dancemusic (and yes, ther are on the website):
1. Masfél (mixing prog, funk and drum&bass)
2. ColorStar (mixing, prog, pop, ambient and drum&bass)
3. Ozric Tentacles (mixing spacerock, techno, drum&bass etc.) check out Spirals in Hyperspace and The Floor is Too Far Away.
4. Of course the following wonderful bands: Toto, Chicago and any other great westcoast influenced band.
5. These kinds of progressive artists: Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Jamiroquai, Incognito, Brand New Heavies, Earth, Wind & Fire, also Weather Report is danceable.
Then there are some remix-albums of popular artists. I like the Remixomatosis-album of Marillion. More relaxing than danceable though.
Also headbanging, pogoiing etc. count as dancing :)
Funny, I'd rather Headbang to 80's Chicago than dance to modern Ozrics. But there you go.......

Oh, man, that singer, Sam...it's just...surreal...
Ha, do you think they were going to get a second performance after that?! I'm sure most of America that saw it was probably thinking `What the f*ck was that?!'!

Ha!
Actually, listening to it again....Perhaps Manakin were way ahead of their time?! So they sort of had a chunky Yes/Rush bass thing going on, but there's also quite a New-Wave style to the singing, with the addition of the theatrical element (the mask, etc) that actually reminds of some of the Neo-prog groups?!
I don't think you can dance to most prog. The only song that comes to mind is "I wouldn't want to be like you" by the Alan Parson's Project. Even that isn't really prog although much of the rest of the album is. You could probably also dance to "owner of a lonely heart" and some of the War of the Worlds album(the original from 1978)which has a disco beat in places.

You don't dance to good music. You listen to it
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
