Doesn't sound familiar to me - perhaps a 'random' composed flute solo that never made it to record ??

From 37:00 to 37:50 he is playing one piece of classical music to its ending, but I do not recognize the piece, after that he goes into a blues/jazz improv, as pointed out earlier, possibly based on "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat".
You might want to try googling Van leer's favorite classical works on flute, or favorite works he might play in concert, to get a start on finding the piece. Also, try posting the 37 to 37:50 snippet on a classical site and see what they say. Edited by js (Easy Money) - September 07 2016 at 08:52 |

I don't know it either, but until 37:53 it sounds like Johann Sebastian Bach to me

the piece he is playing is bach's menuet no. 2 from the 1st suite for solo cello in G major.
I am a cellist, so I recognized it immediately :)
there you go, the original (random performance from youtube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FLvVHr072g |
