Greetings from the depths of South Africa. 

I have an obvious penchant for music of a progressive nature. 
There is always more to discover and learn. 
A few bands I'm fond of are King Crimson, ELP, Gentle Giant, Art Zoyd, Univers Zero, PFM, Jethro Tull, Tangle Edge, Brand X, Fates Warning, Gorguts, etc.

If it's good it's good. You can't ignore it. Too many people are just on some elitist nostalgia trip these days.
