Holy sh*t I hope I never meet you in real life. Stay away from 290/manchaca. Don't want to see any Ayreon sympathizers on my lawn or I will exercise Texas' favorite amendment.

How's that for 'sharpness' Wink  For real tho, nice to see another Austinite on here

I think that In The Presence Of Enemies is a stronger composition overall than both Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence and Octavarium

Though discussion for that kind of stuff is probably better off on DTF....
Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

Except that a forum with 56,960 members is hardly what you can call a "deep, dark prog secret".

OK I am new here but here we go. My wife does not understand Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Egg, Focus or any other music which requires thinking. I'm fine with that.

In the case of my wife, she's not too big on classic 70's prog (and for some reason she really hates "Foxtrot"), but she likes the newer stuff, with her fav bands in the prog spectrum being Alcest, Anathema, Dungen, Opeth, The Tea Party and some others I'm forgetting.
