These are some favourites of mine off my most listened to Art Zoyd albums. I have chosen just one track per those albums.

I was most unsure of which one to choose off Faust as I could never listen to anything less than the whole album at a sitting, whereas I have rarely chosen individual tracks off the other listed albums to listen to. For that matter, I could have chosen various others, but whatever.

	How convenient that I just listened to 5 Art Zoyd albums yesterday. Musique pour l'Odyssee is the best of these, although Phase IV is the best album overall.

	I have a strange preference for their later more electronic work, starting with Berlin, so the last three are top on my list and Häxan grabs the vote.

	I just don't have the time to listen to all these songs but from my notes I'd rate the almost 18 minute track from Haxan right at the top. It's like a trip into the dark mind of Art Zoyd, a song that takes me places I don't necessarily want to go. I prefer "A Drum, A Drum" to the one you picked from "Berlin" it's also around 20 minutes long. Man all these tunes are great though which is why this is so hard. I really like the spacey synths on that "Faust" track. The suspense that builds on "Simulacres" is beyond anything I've heard, I'm on the edge of my seat. Lots of piano on that "Phase IV" representitive. Each track is incredible as far as I'm concerned. And the words dark and intense usually apply to each one.

	There is a darkness that I like and dislike in that music. Strangely electronic brings heat in the last track. But I don't know very well that band. Nearness to classical music always bothers me a little.

	Toss up between the Haxan and the Faust track. I'll give it to Haxan this time.

	Can't remember them all but Génération Sans Futur is one of the highlights in the history of avant prog (which goes for a few more of the options included).
