At least they are all still alive! Always look at the back row first and of these, any line up with Collins in it would have some credibility - I could see him working with both Fripp and/or Hancock.

Option 3, I can see Claypool and Collins laying down one hell of an ever-shifting groove while Hancock and Fripp duel over the top with analogue synths and heinously distorted guitar. Kind of a hybrid of Crossings and Larks Tongues In Aspic.

Well, when you put it that way I guess I have to vote for option #3. That sounds killer!

Since Collins cannot play drums anymore, gotta go wtih #1. Which really is a nice lineup with Gilmour.....While I enjoy Portnoy's drumming who on earth would want to work with him? Especially after his recent comments about DT control!! LOL

Well that was easy, only one option has a couple of musicians as legendary and cutting edge as Fripp and Hancock.

Both Collins and Peart can't play anymore, so we're stuck with Portnoy, obviously.

I would go with option three solely on the strength of the new Lennon Claypool collaboration. So good it hurts. Option 1 would be interesting, too.

GPBS would be the most atmospheric albeit with unorthodox rhythms. I would like to hear it. HPRS would be the most melodic, adventurous but still pretty easy on the ears. I'd like to hear this one, too. FCHC would be the most insane - on multiple levels. Also the most chaotic and unpredictable, and I definitely want to hear where they would go. I vote for them.

I thought Collins had recovered - he's touring next year and thinks he will play a bit following back surgery.

No. 2 gives me most confidence that they'd come up with something that makes sense and is at least the sum of its parts.
