Pink Floyd's one is just an iconic central piece of prog. Watching them play Echoes in "Pink Floyd in Pompeji" was one of the most important moments forming my musical taste. As good as Camel's is (and it's excellent, one of their best), they can't win this time.

I generally prefer Camel over Pink Floyd, but (...) in the context of the "Echoes" clash? No. Floyd's Echoes are untouchable.

Floyd for sure.

Echoes is my favorite Floyd track, and Floyd is my favorite band, so Floyd it is

Echoes is one of the most mythic songs from Floyd, or even prog in general. On the other hand, even though I have heard it a few times, I just can't remember anything from the Camel track... and when I have come back to it given that it's usually well beloved, it's the same, I find it forgettable and won't remember anything from it later on.

Me too. I love Floyd, and it's a very close call, but Camel takes my vote.

Camel, one of their best tracks.  At the time, with the band changing styles, it was a piece that recalled Moonmadness

Floyd. Not in the same league.
