KC. Way ahead of the pack. Not even close.

The Final Cut has always been one of my favourite PF albums. For me it could be labelled The Wall part 2. The Gunners Dream is one of Walters very best songs and Gilmour's guitar solo on The Fletcher Memorial Home is just brilliant. The album is superior to those that followed it. I think that The Final Cut should be regarded as a top 10 Floyd album.

ELP's 'Beach, I'm afraid, if just for the fact that Lake's voice was still in fine form. 'Floyd's 'Cut only contains two songs I can put up with, and Crimso's 'Light always seemed much hoo-haa long after the band's glory days had departed.

I think I'll side with Hercules here. I will never understand proggers willingness to spend time, money and energy on even the very worst offers bands that were once great or relevant releases. Before I bother with Heaven and Earth I guess I should finish Tomato atleast once.

That's a lot of crap there. In keeping with that I vote for Heaven & Earth.

In order from best to worst:
King Crimson - The ConstruKCtion Of Light - a 4 star album to me Jethro Tull - Catfish Rising - not prog, but great music Yes - Heaven & Earth - so-so effort Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Love Beach - very few good, no great moments Pink Floyd - The Final Cut - barely listenable Genesis - Calling All Stations - WTF?

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

*psst* it will still suck.. so you might want to save yourself the time. The only good thing you can about it was at least it was better than what followed for Floyd. There is sucking.. then there is AMLOR the king of sh*t stain MTV driven cash grab playing to nostalgia and new hippy kiddies of the 80's, and prove a point to bitter ex-member albums

I like all of those.
Love Beach is my favorite, though. ConstruKction of Light would be second. The Final Cut third. Heaven & Earth fourth. All of those would get a 5/5 from me. Then Catfish Rising, then Calling All Stations. I'm guessing both would get a 4/5 from me, although I haven't heard either in some time.
