I voted for King Crimson.
Gentle Giant's songs are both too short and too long all at the same time...oh, I feel a headache coming on...great skill level, but stingy with enjoyment. I do put them one notch above thrash metal in how annoying they can be.
Hmm, I wonder what Yes would be like with Greg Lake or John Wetton singing. Just wondering.

I absolutely dislike Gentle Giant
Like very few King Crimson songs
Yes is not my favorite band due to Jon Anderson, but they have great music.
You'd rather dress like a transvestite and sing like a fairy
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

There is obviously no right answer here. Yes is my all-time favorite band but GG and KC are perfect bands with amazing discographies. If you put a gun to my head:
1) Yes
2) King Crimson
3) Gentle Giant
But it's close. Very close and you're an awful person putting those three up against each other.

Unfortunately, Yes has done a lot of fluff, so it's Crimso all the way.
First two Yes albums - interesting lead singer featuring an outstanding rhythm section and not much else
Steve Howe joins band - masterpiece....masterpiece......masterpiece........masterpiece
After Drama Steve Howe quits band - fluff.....fluff......fluff......fluff (with due respect to Rabin)
Steve Howe rejoins Yes for Keys to Ascension - Yes great again
Actually, you seem to be right. Even though in my personal opinion, I don't really like The Yes Album that much (though I understand it's loved by many). Tormato is rather bad. Drama has a few good songs, but not much more. Keys to Ascension has a few good new songs. The two albums with Billy Sherwood are really bad. Magnifications is really good. Fly from Here has it's moments. And Heaven and Earth is really bad too. Plus, there are several really good songs from line-ups without Howe.

I think KC are the only truly eclectic band of the three.
Yes were actually very formulaic in their sound, even after Wakemen left. They only really became a completely new band when Howe was replaced by Rabin. Yeah, I know controversial...etc.. Don't get me wrong, I love their formula and I'm a fan
Gentle Giant, with the exception of the Octopus album, and parts of The Power and the Glory really just irritated me. They sounded like a gaggle of very talented music professors, making overly complex music to prove they could.
Crimson almost reinvented themselves on each album, due to the high turn over of staff...

That's exactly what I like about GG and KC
And actually I'd say GG are the most eclectic, just a little more than KC, unless you'd count classical music as one musical style.

I love GG, but they didn't change their style a great deal over their lifetime. KC has had radically different periods with radically different styles stretching over most of the of the prog era and they show no signs of slowing down.
